BERRIES CAN HELP KEEP YOU CANCER FREE

Of all the fruit and vegetables that you can eat, berries beat them all. Berries, more than any other food, are associated whith a remarkably long list of health benefits.

Here are just a few examples:

* Darkberries, like blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and goji berries, are very high in vitamin C, which is a poweful antioxidant. Getting lot of vitamin C in your diet may help reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer and infections. Vitamin C seems particulary important in preventins cataracts, which are thought to be caused by oxidation of the protein that forms the lenses of the eyes.

* Bluberries,bilberries ans raspberries contain lutein, which is important for healthy vision and inhibited an enzime called ornithine decarboxylase, which is responsible for tumor progression.

Raspberries are rich in anthocyanins and cancer fighting phytochemicals such as ellagic, coumaric and ferulic acid.

Pomegranate (is considered a berry) fruit extract, has strong antioxidant and anti-inflamatory properties, and has been found to be particulary beneficial in inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, and improving symptoms of coronary heart disease and periodontis (gum disease)
